Beaches
Nine sweeping bays, pristine beaches and tropical forests makes Huatulco the
Mexican government's premieret great resort development area. Tangolunda Bay
is the first to be developed and offers excellent beaches, reached via accommodating
hotels. Just one bay over from Santa Cruz is La Entrega Beach, great for snorkeling
and barbecued fish savored at beach palapa restaurants. The other bays and
picture perfect beaches can be reached by boat. (See The Sporting Life below.)
Santa Cruz
Small fishing village that pre-dates the resort development. Lovely central
plaza with bandstand, market, hotels, restaurants and harbor.
La Crucecita
Newly created town to match the resort development. Boutique and cafe ambience.
Puerto Angel
Small, sleepy village and bay equa distant from Huatulco and Puerto Escondido
on Highway 200.
